White Chicken

Fast, easy and delicious--baked chicken with lemon and garlic, topped with melted cheese.
 

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup real cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh chopped parsley (dried may be substituted)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Mix together milk, granulated garlic and parsley in a bowl and set aside. Coat baking dish, or baking sheet with a raised edge, thoroughly with cooking spray. Place chicken thighs in a single layer across baking dish being sure to keep pieces from overlapping. Pour milk mixture over chicken thighs. Sprinkle lemon juice over chicken pieces. Bake in oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 180 degrees F. About 10 minutes before chicken is done, remove from oven, sprinkle with cheddar cheese and return to oven until finished.

 

Notes: Serve over white rice cooked in chicken stock.
