Tasty Chinese Chicken Salad

Dry ramen noodles add crunch to this cabbage salad with canned chicken and a oil-vinegar dressing with flavor from the ramen seasoning packet.
Ingredients
- Small pkg slivered almonds
- 1/2 head cabbage, shredded
- 1/2 bunch green onions, chopped
- 1 small can chicken white meat, drained
- 1 pkg chicken-flavored ramen soup
- 1/2 cup salad oil
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
- Dash salt

Method
Toast almonds in a dry frying pan just until golden; remove. In salad bowl, combine cabbage, green onion, drained chicken and almonds. Make dressing by mixing the seasoning mix from the soup, the oil, vinegar, soy sauce, and salt. Then mix into other ingredients. Break up ramen noodles and stir into salad.
Notes: If you cannot have the MSG in that is in the ramen seasoning mix, use the following recipe for the dressing: 1 cup vinegar, 2/3 cup sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 1/2 cups salad oil, and 2 to 3 Tablespoons toasted sesame oil. Pour onto salad until you reach moistness you enjoy.
