Ingredients:
| 1 cup | Lite Teriyaki Sauce |
| 1 cup | Pineapple Juice |
| 1 Tbsp | Worcestershire Sauce |
| 2 tsp | Grated Fresh Ginger |
| 1 tsp | Garlic Powder |
| ½ tsp | Cayenne Pepper, or to taste |
| ¼ tsp | Tamarind Paste |
| 3½ lb | Chicken Wings, tips discarded |
| ½ pkg | (3-oz Size) Orange Gelatin, as needed |
| Sesame Seeds |
Directions:
Using a large bowl, combine teriyaki sauce, pineapple juice, Worcestershire sauce, ginger, garlic powder, cayenne pepper and tamarind paste. Add chicken wings, mixing well; marinate about 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 350. Line a shallow-rimmed baking pan with foil. Arrange chicken wings in a single layer. Pour about 1/2 cup of the marinade over wings and sprinkle with some of the (dry) orange gelatin. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, turn wings and sprinkle with remaining 1/2 package of gelatin and sesame seeds. Bake until browned and wings are done, about 25 minutes more.
Helpful Tips:
Not your ordinary chicken wings! These sweet, spicy and savory wings are always welcome for any game day treat. The tamarind paste adds a wonderful tart taste which is indigenous to many Oriental and Caribbean foods. For a hungry crowd, the recipe is easily doubled. Recipe variation: use lime or pineapple-flavored gelatin.
