This soup is healthy and delicious any day of the year, but especially on a cold day.
In large skillet, brown sausage and chicken. Add onions, mushrooms, and garlic. Saute until onions are translucent. Add this mixture to a soup pot. Add chicken broth and tomatoes. Simmer for approximately 1 hour. Add chopped fresh spinach and fennel seed. Simmer about 15 minutes and serve.
