Honey Stuffed Chicken Breast

This baked chicken recipe uses gouda cheese and honey for a new twist on original chicken.
 

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless chicken breast
  • 1 cup of smoked gouda cheese shredded
  • 10 green olives finely chopped
  • 1 tsp of finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 4 Tbsp honey
  • 1/2 bunch of green onion finely chopped
  • 1 can of cream of chicken
  • 1 can of finely chopped mushroom / remove the water
  • 1/2 cup of bread crumbs
  • Toothpicks
  • 2 Tbsp of extra virgin olive oil

Method

In a bowl add the shredded cheese, olives, garlic, salt, 3 table spoons of honey, green onion, cream of chicken, mushrooms and bread crumbs. Mix all the ingredients together. Have the butcher cut each chicken breast into two thinner slices if possible if not this could be done at home easily using a knife. In each slice of chicken breast add about a table spoon and a half of your mixture. Roll the chicken breast tightly making sure the ingredients are not exposed. Use the toothpicks to hold them together. Follow the same process for the rest of chicken breast. In a separate bowl mix the olive oil and 1 table spoon of honey and brush the the chicken with the mixture. Place the chicken in cooking tray to be baked for 30 minutes over 375 degrees head. Before serving let the chicken to cool down for 5-10 minutes.
