|2 cans||Cream of Chicken Soup|
|1 bunch||Green Onions|
|1 stick||(1/2 Cup) Real Butter|
|1||Large Can French Fried Onions|
|1 pkg||Shredded Cheddar Cheese|
|Garlic Salt (to Taste)|
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Heat a little canola oil in skillet. Add chicken; season to taste with salt and pepper, and cook in oil until done. Place chicken in a mixing bowl and add the cream of chicken soup. Chop the green onions and add a handful to the chicken mixture. Split the French bread lengthwise to form two halves. Take a spoon and scoop out the middle of both halves. (Use to make bread crumbs, if desired.) Spoon the chicken mixture into both halves. Melt butter and pour it around the outer edge of the bread; sprinkle both halves with the rest of the green onions, the French fried onions, some garlic salt, and the shredded cheese on the top. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Then cut the two halves into 4-inch servings.
This recipe makes a really tasty meal and will go nicely with a pasta salad, green salad, corn-on-the-cob or just plain chips. It's great to serve to a bunch of fans watching the "Super Bowl" or any sports gathering!!
