Chicken and Rice Bake

Chicken breast halves are placed on uncooked rice in a baking dish. Velveeta cheese, bacon, and a mixture of melted butter, onion soup mix, sour cream, water and two salad dressings is pour over and baked.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups regular rice, uncooked
  • 6 to 8 chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
  • 1 1/2 cups Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 4-5 strips bacon, uncooked
  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup), melted
  • 1 package of onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup Ranch salad dressing
  • 1/4 cup Italian dressing
  • 1 cup water

Method

In a large rectangular baking dish, pour uncooked rice into dish and spread evenly over bottom. Place chicken breasts on top of rice. Place chunks of Velveeta cheese evenly over chicken and rice. Then place bacon slices over the chicken, rice and cheese. In large bowl, combine butter, onion soup mix, dressings, sour cream, and water. Mix well. Pour over the chicken and rice evenly. Bake in 350 oven for 75 minutes.
