BLT Chicken Ranch Pitas

Chicken breasts are combined with sour cream, ranch dressing mix, cheese, bacon, tomatoes and lettuce in this pita bread sandwich. Save a step and use purchased cooked chicken breast strips.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 Skinless, Boneless Chicken Breast Halves
  • 1 Tsp. Cooking Oil
  • 1 16 oz. Container Sour Cream
  • 1 Packet Dry Ranch Dressing Mix
  • 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Crisp-Cooked, Crumbled Bacon
  • Pita Bread
  • 1 Cup Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 Cup Shredded Lettuce

Method

Heat Oil in a large skillet. Sautee chicken until done (170 degrees). Cut Chicken in small pieces and let cool In a Bowl, Combine Sour Cream, Ranch, Cheese, Crumbled Bacon, and Chicken. Refrigerate for one hour. Cut pita bread in half and spread mixture inside. Top with Tomatoes and Lettuce.

 

Notes: Good to take on picnics or to pack for lunch. Great summer treat. Many of my friends ask for the recipe.
